Misgive
From Hull AWE
'To misgive'' is essentially archaic. You are not advised to use it. When it is used, it is usually in phrases such as "My heart misgives me", to mean 'I am losing courage', or 'I have no determination in this matter'. Rather more commonly, in present-day English, such verbal uses have been replaced by the noun, as in "I have misgivins about it." Nevertheless, AWE will give the inflections of the obsolete verb here.
