Shred

The verb 'to shred', meaning 'to tear or cut into small bits or strips', has been a regular verb since the Middle English period. The past forms are shredded.

It is an error to form them on the analogy of the irregular verb 'to shed': there is no such past tense or past participle in formal written English as shred. Use shredded.
