Be careful when reading, or translating into or out of, French of the verb inhabiter and its -ed participle inhabité[e]. Because the French translation of English inhabit is habiter, the French for uninhabited is inhabit, with the -ed participle inhabité[e], which represents the English participial adjective uninhabited.
