Also note that advertise is always spelled with an s in America.

This is covered in advertise,l and in more detail by following the link therein: "Hart gives a list of 30 common verbs which are properly spelled with -ise. These, along with some others, can be found in category:verbs spelled with -ise". I didn't want to make the page on -ise and -ize too long. Thanks for the thought.
