AWE has several resources for finding out about Popes. For a definition of the word as it applies to the Head of the Roman Catholic Church, see The Pope; to clarify some other meanings, see Pope.
In order to identify some (very few) details about any particular Head of the Roman Catholic Church, you can search either of the two lists, one alphabetical and the other chronological. For technical reasons, to do with the size of the files, these have been subdivided:
- The alphabetical list is split into Popes (alphabetical list A-L) and Popes (alphabetical list - M-Z).
- The Chronological list is split into Popes (chronological List - to 1000) and Popes (chronological List - 1000 to now)
